The next adventure

Brad claims I'm a nomad who loves change...looking at my record I have no way of arguing that. Since graduating high school I haven't done a very good job at staying in one place.

June 2003 - Rexburg, ID
January 2004 - Cuenca, Ecuador
June 2004 - Rexburg, ID I actually stayed long enough this time to finish some school
December 2005 - Banida, ID
March 2006 - Rexburg, ID
April 2006 - EUROPE
June 2006 - Rexburg, ID for the last time
September 2006 - ITALY Bergamo, Modena, Milano
April 2008 - Banida, ID
August 2008 - Homeless in Mesa AZ
January 2009 - Des Moines, IA
August 2010 - Casper, WY

That's right...if you made it all the way through that boring list you hopefully noticed that Brad and I will be moving to Casper WY for his third year rotations.

We were lucky enough to get our first choice. We will now be in the same time zone as our parents, have a ski resort within 15 minutes, see mountains outside our window and lets not forget, be in a place where Brad will get excellent hand on experience.

There is a down side to almost all changes...we will miss our friends here in Des Moines. We've loved the time we've spent here and hope we will love Casper just as much.

Freezing Rain Storm Day

Welcome to IOWA...not only have we already had an awesome snow day when everything was closed but now we get a Freezing Rain Day. Not nearly as much fun as snow.

Home for the Holiday's...

and finally getting around to posting about it.

On the drive to Utah we got lucky enough to stay in the Buffalo Bill Suite in Laramie WY

We spent every spare minute skiing.

We enjoyed the top of our cake for our anniversary

And spent a few days camping and skiing
My dad took care of the cooking.

It was a great Christmas break.

SNOW DAY

I got a phone call at 5:58 am two minutes before my alarm went off telling me we were closing the bank for the day. Of course I tried to go back to bed but I couldn't sleep. Brad's test, lectures and labs for today had all been postponed so we enjoyed puffy pancakes for breakfast and got started shoveling out our driveway. This was no easy task. It's a good thing the bank was closed cause there is no way I would have made it out of here by 7:00.

OUR NEIGHBORS CAR. THIS GIVES A LITTLE
PERSPECTIVE TO THE AMOUNT OF SNOW WE GOT.

I hope everyone is enjoying our snow day

Lost Photos

Several months ago Brad lost a bunch of pictures that were on his external hard drive. We tried everything we could think of to get them back. It wasn't until today when I accidentally deleted a picture from iPhoto and started digging around in my trash that I found he had downloaded and deleted some of his lost pictures off my computer forever ago. So here they are some lost ski photos of Brad's.

It's just too bad they aren't getting as much snow in Utah as we are here in Iowa. There is a blizzard starting and I'm hoping I wont have to go to work tomorrow.

A quick trip to Nauvoo

Brad and I don't get out much. We've lived in Des Moines for a year and it wasn't until this weekend when I had family in Nauvoo that we decided to make the short three hour drive to check things out.

My Grandparents wanted to have all their children with them at the temple and it turns out the Nauvoo temple was the one place they could gather them all together. How convenient it was for us to join in since we live so close.
