SNOW DAY

I got a phone call at 5:58 am two minutes before my alarm went off telling me we were closing the bank for the day. Of course I tried to go back to bed but I couldn't sleep. Brad's test, lectures and labs for today had all been postponed so we enjoyed puffy pancakes for breakfast and got started shoveling out our driveway. This was no easy task. It's a good thing the bank was closed cause there is no way I would have made it out of here by 7:00.

Lost Photos

Several months ago Brad lost a bunch of pictures that were on his external hard drive. We tried everything we could think of to get them back. It wasn't until today when I accidentally deleted a picture from iPhoto and started digging around in my trash that I found he had downloaded and deleted some of his lost pictures off my computer forever ago. It's just too bad they aren't getting as much snow in Utah as we are here in Iowa. There is a blizzard starting and I'm hoping I wont have to go to work tomorrow.

A quick trip to Nauvoo

Brad and I don't get out much. We've lived in Des Moines for a year and it wasn't until this weekend when I had family in Nauvoo that we decided to make the short three hour drive to check things out.

My Grandparents wanted to have all their children with them at the temple and it turns out the Nauvoo temple was the one place they could gather them all together. How convenient it was for us to join in since we live so close.

Climb Iowa

Finding fun stuff to do in Iowa has been a little bit of a challenge for Brad and I. Maybe I should clarify... finding time and money to do fun stuff in Iowa has been the hardest part. However we stumbled across a free pass to Climb Iowa and anxiously waited for a day when Brad didn't have tests to study for and I didn't work. And we had a blast. Too bad it's so expensive or I think we would go more often.

Idaho here I come...

By this time tomorrow night I'll be in Idaho enjoying the mountains and hanging out with my family. Too bad Brad can't come.

Meet Jenga

No she isn't our puppy... but we did have the great pleasure of puppy sitting for the weekend. She kept us busy.

A little BONUS

Today at work I got awarded with a little bonus which included; theater gift cards, lots of candy, a nice bonus for my paycheck and most importantly....my very own PARKING SPACE. The closest to the entrance. Usually I wouldn't care much for a parking spot but after waking up to this last Saturday...

I'm totally excited. It's no trip to Hawaii like Sam and Kyrsten but I'll take it.
