1994-2010 The Best Dog Ever
My dog Gussy passed away today. I shouldn't be sad since the last few months she hasn't been doing so well. I know she's better off, but I'm selfish and I'm going to miss her.It's amazing how these crazy animals sneak their way into our hearts until they are a part of the family and a huge part of our lives.
She had some way of knowing as soon as I got my running shoes out and she wouldn't leave my side until she knew she was coming with me. I would run along the canal so she could jump in and swim every once in a while. She was the best running partner.
Not being around today when Gus died made me just a little homesick. I knew she wasn't doing well and I wanted to pet her so bad. It's hard to explain the attachment we get to these animals. I don't think Brad understands since he never had one. I believe in the statement "a dog is a man's best friend."
I'll miss you GUSSY GIRL thanks for being my dog.

i know your feeling of being away when you dog dies. after a 19 year life my dog died while sam and i were in louisiana last year. i was so sad. im sorry to hear about gus never fun to loose a part of your family!
