365 Project | February

Well I kind of feel like a failure with my 365 project. So I'll just do a month in review. Taking the pictures and downloading them is one thing but sometimes it takes me a while to post. Twenty-nine pictures is a lot so I'll just post some favorites.

A lot has happened this month, the snow has been CRAPPY so I don't have as many cool ski pictures as I would like. We survived the match and we are now able to plan our move to Corvallis, Oregon. I've been super busy with photography, which I'm LOVING, Maven has been a major trouble maker but is so much fun right now. He is learning new things like crazy. Overall we are just enjoying our time in Cache Valley.

Those black marks on Maven's lips happen to be Sharpie marker which was also on the TV, a little wooden chair, and on select toys. We still have no clue where he found the Sharpie considering just two days earlier Brad was unable to find one when he needed it.

These next pictures are of my nieces and nephews. I still had some backdrops up when they came over. They were curious about everything so we had test things out.

And this is Maven after trying some lemon juice.

So there is February for you...I would like to say I'll do better but I don't want to set anyone up for disappointment.

FEB 365 PROJECT FAIL

Wow I am so far behind posting pics of my 365 project I don't even want to try and upload 30+ pics onto blogger so here are a few and I might pick out some other highlights over the next few days.

It hasn't been the best year for snow but we've managed to hike to some pretty good powder.

Here is Maven all innocent and sweet looking...I'll be posting pictures of his more destructive side soon.
OH and FYI we are moving to Corvallis Oregon in June. :) I'm super excited.

10 JAN 2012 | Day TEN

For three years we have lived 2-4 hours from a temple. Sad to say as a result we haven't gone nearly enough.  We really wanted to go this month but Logan was closed so we took a little day trip to Idaho Falls.

9 JAN 2012 | Day NINE

It's a good thing Brad plans on being an Emergency Medicine Doctor.  Hopefully that means we'll get a discount in the ER. I have a feeling we will be visiting frequently. Maven decided that jumping off the couch is FUN TO DO.

8 JAN 2012 | Day EIGHT

Maven can't decide if he likes taking baths. One day we can't pry him out and the next he can't get out of there fast enough.  After sitting in the Hot Tub we wanted to rinse him off so he wouldn't get a rash from the chlorine so we used the removable shower head and he thought that was hilarious.

7 JAN 2012 | Day SEVEN

It may appear like these two 2nd cousins are getting along but that definitely wasn't the case. Maven was seconds away from stealing the toy horse.  Maven's jealous side came out for the first time. I wasn't allowed to hold the baby or Maven freaked.  He isn't even a Mamma's Boy.  She wasn't allowed to play with ANY of his toys. Maven doesn't even play with his toys.  He is more interested in getting into trouble than playing with toys but when this little sweetie came along it was a whole different story.

6 JAN 2012 | Day SIX

While I was busy catching up on all my photo sessions Maven was busy making cookies with Grandma. She even let him snitch some cookie dough.

5 JAN 2012 | Day FIVE

Maven is our Master Escape Artist. I love how he has no sense of what's COLD and of course he has to stop to waive goodbye as he opens the door and runs to the car.  He checked every door on the car to see if one was unlocked.

4 JAN 2012 | Day FOUR

This was our LAZY DAY... I guess this iPad picture sums it all up.

3 JAN 2012 | Day THREE

January 3 and still NO SNOW...it's been a dreadful two week vacation for Brad.  Now he gets to go back to his rotations and he hardly got to ski.  This is our last winter in Cache Valley for awhile and instead of skiing we are hanging out in the backyard with spring like weather and playing with bubbles.  Maven loves having his dad around so it's not a total loss.

2 JAN 2012 | Day TWO

My Mom, Dad, older brother Bill and myself all went to Pocatello to help my little sister move apartments. After a long day of hauling furniture and incredible amounts of clothes this is how we felt. We got her moved, unpacked and even decorated her new little basement apartment.  Now she is ready to start her new position at work this week.  Congrats Mary on the promotion and new place!!!

365 Project | Day ONE

I've been doing photography for years but never had the equipment I needed to really push myself as a photographer.  A few months before our son was born my husband and I decided it was worth the investment to be able to document our family.  Now that I do photography as a job (which is totally awesome) I have to remind myself to not let the day to day stuff with my own family slip by without being documented.

So in an effort to remind myself why I do photography I have made it my goal for 2012 to do the 365 project. I might not get the pictures up everyday but trust me I'll be taking them.

This picture sums up our day pretty good.  First off it's January 1, 2012 in Preston Idaho and warm enough outside to take a baby to the hot tub.  Brad was sick and in bed so Maven was being entertained by his Grandparents.  He wasn't so sure about the hot tub at first but it didn't take long before he was enjoying it.
