Muddy Mountain

We've been in Casper a little more than a week now and there are few notable pros and cons.

We should probably start with the cons:

1- We still don't know anyone. Brad probably wishes he had someone to go play with him while I'm at work.

2- One of our neighbors smokes and every once in a while we get the smell of smoke lofting into our apartment. If anyone has any great suggestions for getting ride of smoke odor I'd love to hear them.

3- We get a rude awakening at 4:00 in the morning when the garbage man comes crashing through. Maybe this is to help us prepare for a baby in 8 weeks who will probably wake us up during the night as well.

And the amazing pros:

1- With boards out of the way Brad is always ready to go do something. It's been a long time since we've been able to spend this much time together.

2- We've already been able to go hiking, biking, swimming and we are still finding more to do. As long as this kid in my belly cooperates.

3- Everyone is so friendly. Random strangers will introduce themselves and I hear the phrase "God Bless You" at least 12x a day.

4- We are within 7 hours from home and we don't have to drive through Nebraska to get there.

And on that note I should mention our wonderful 4th of July (or should I say 5th of July, I love working at a bank and having paid holidays.)

We headed up to Muddy Mountain for a little cookout and a bike ride. We were then lucky enough to find a pretty fun single track bike trail.

So if anyone wants to yonder through Casper Wyoming we promise to find some fun things to do.

Bridle Falls

After a lot of unpacking Brad and I were ready to get out and explore Casper. This is what we found.

BRAD AND I AND MY VERY LARGE BELLY AT 31 WEEKS

Getting to the falls was a quick little hike. We weren't satisfied so we decided to explore some more. We ended up climbing up and around the falls and back the other side. It was a beautiful hike. Instead of kicking me the entire time like he usually does, the baby decided to sleep. We can't wait to take him back in September.

Casper Wyoming

We are in Casper and finally have everything unpacked. Thanks to our wonderful parents the move went really well. While taking a break from unpacking Brad and I decided to go on a walk along the North Platte River. As you can see the water is a extremely high so our walk along the trail got a little wet.

Now that the big move is over with it's time to start getting ready for this baby. That might have to be Brad's job since I start work on Thursday.

Mustache MAY II

Brad and I have both been keeping pretty busy. His days are filled with board studies. I can't believe how fast that snuck up on us. Only 8 more day!!! And I've been working and getting ready to move.

In less than two weeks this will be our new scenery. SAGEBRUSH

Beware of the fat lady crossing the bridge.

Sadly our time in Des Moines is quickly coming to an end.

As for Mustache May...I thought that was going to end with the random design down Brads neck. However; that only inspired him to continue.

THE DOC HOLLIDAY
We'll just have to see what next May will bring us. I'm sure Wyoming will be full of many inspirational mustaches and possibly lead us into a new tradition of Mullet March.

Stolen

Wednesday night my purse was stolen, we spent way too much time searching the church, first I thought I miss placed it, then I thought maybe someone else might have moved it for some strange reason, then it started to sink in my purse was gone. After I finally got a hold of Brad to bring me my spare car keys we were about to give up the search when I decided to make one more round. I found it hidden behind a curtain with my wallet and phone gone.

Now if the thief would have been smart he would have taken my camera, worth way more than my 3 year old phone and he would have spent more than $10 on my credit card.

Instead he ended up with $15 cash...

And I am blessed with the opportunity to start replacing, debit cards, credit cards, drivers license, phone, temple recommend, insurance cards, library card and a lot of other random items I'm sure I haven't even realized are missing such as your phone number.

That's right...I wasn't smart enough to backup my phonebook and I am now without phone numbers.

So if you want me to have your number please leave a comment or email me charlsielyn@gmail.com

Thanks for helping me get things back to normal.

He Can't Be Controlled

This is the second annual Mustache May for brad. I'm already nervous for what next year has in store.

MUSTACHE MAY 2010

Thank goodness it's only the month of May.

fat vs pregnant

I knew being pregnant that I would be gaining weight. That doesn't mean it's an easy thing to accept. And as all of you who have experienced pregnancy would know. The first few months when that small gut starts to appear you feel more fat than pregnant.
Well it's official as of today I can say I look pregnant.

While in nursery we were having a great time singing out favorite songs. Before singing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes I asked the kids.

"Who knows where your head is?"
The kids all put there hands on their heads.

I continued with different body parts like the tongue, eyes, knees, elbows, belly buttons, and so forth. Right before we started singing the song one of the boys asked.

"Do you have a baby growing in your belly?"

That's when I decided I have finally crossed over from the fat stage to the pregnant stage.
