Chocolate OBSESSION

Turns out Lehigh Valley is only an hour and a half from Hershey Pennsylvania.  So with a little begging I convinced Brad (a non chocolate lover)  that it was necessary to take the trip.  I've dreamed of this sine doing a report on Hershey PA in 4th or 5th grade.  And it did not disappoint.  Maven and I LOVED it.

This was Maven's expression when he saw Santa Clause for the first time.

We were getting ready to leave and Maven still had a mouth full of Chocolate

If we end up living in Lehigh Valley Pennsilvania we have an IRRESISTIBLE place to take anyone who will visit us.

Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania

We don't know a soul in Pennsylvania and obviously we don't have any family in Bethlehem so it was just the three of us for Thanksgiving.  The only restaurant we could find open was Perkins so we ate drove around the city and found ourselves an awesome little park.  We took a LONG walk and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  I couldn't have asked for a better Thanksgiving.  I'm so grateful for my amazing husband and everything he does for our family.  I'm glad we were able to spend the holiday with him.

14 Months of Adventure

Maven is only 14 months old and he has already been more places than I had at 18 years.  I figure he's been to at least 14 states and probably driven through more than that.  Sad thing is he probably wont remember or appreciate any of it.

We couldn't stand being away from Brad any longer so Maven and I packed our bags and made our way to West Virginia.  Maven did awesome on the plane but wore me out.  The flight attendants were great and made sure we had plenty of room.  On the first plane they moved us to the back so we could have all three seats to ourselves.  Maven took advantage of being close to the attendants and mooching as many cookies as possible.  He knows how to flirt and get exactly what he wants.

Brad picked us up at the Charleston airport.  Maven was so excited he ran right up to Brad and stopped about two feet in front of him, cauked his head and just stared.  In Charleston, Maven made some new friends and enjoyed playing at the Clay Center.
Just Chillin'

Kinda looking like a troll.

He was fascinated by this.

"Dad, you are totally embarassing me."

Brad finished his rotation in Charleston and had a few more days before we needed to be in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania so we detoured through Washington DC to see my Cousin Jill and her family.  They gave us the grand tour of DC.

Right now we are in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania trying to get a feel for this city and see if it's a good fit for our family.

Being a FARMER

We were out helping my dad on the farm the other day.  This isn't always easy to do with Maven in tow so we had him help.  I think next year he'll be ready to drive the big truck.

Halloween

I've always liked Halloween.  I can't say that I get way into it but I enjoy watching little kids dress up and go crazy on candy.  That is until it was my kid with the SUGAR HIGH.

This year was a little lonely without Brad around.  I hate that he had to miss our little skeleton trick or treat for the first time.  Maven was very particular about the candy he picked out.  First choice was always the York Peppermint Patty if those weren't an option he went for the Kit Kat and then the Suckers.

We had fun hopefully Halloween in Charleston WV was just as good.

DADDY I MISS YOU :(

How could I forget

When we got home from Kingman AZ in September we had a little birthday party for Maven.  Technically it was for Brad, Maven and myself since we all celebrate our birthdays in September.  And being the lame inconsistent blogger that I am I completely forgot to post the pics.

Of course we need a Monkey Cake...

And Utensils proved to be a little too challenging...

So this was the next logical thing to do.
